I recently got around to finishing my Baileys Irish Cream Cardigan by Thea Colman, hey!
It's a lovely pattern that combines lace fronts with a plain stocking stitch on both the back and sleeves with a cable detailing instead of the usual rib up the fronts. I knitted in Malabrigo Arroyo, in the colour Sand Bank.
I found it a really enjoyable knit, the lace pattern although looks challenging was fairly easy to follow and as it's knit in one piece, there's a break from the lace when working the back in stocking stitch! I was lulled into a false sense of security, I mean what could possibly go wrong? I let my concentration slip on those pesky cables and instead of working a left twisted cable I switched mid way though and started working a right twisted cable.

Now the old me, the one that's easily defeated would have banished that project to my UFO pile, unfinished objects to you none knitting folk! But I really wasn't going to let this happen!

Now I'd always believed that if you'd gone wrong with a cable there was no way to correct it, but you can do it with a little patience and concentration. I dropped the cable stitches from my needle two stitches in from my selvedge and pulled back my cable stitches just before the point where I'd taken a turn for the worse. I then slipped the four stitches onto a knitting needle and using a second needle, a crochet hook and cable needle I reworked my cable.
