Menage à Trois Knit in Canopy Fingering

We have just added La Maison Rililie's new pattern Menage à Trois to the shop.

Menage à Trois is a wonderful voluptuous wrap; its free-flowing irregular shape is inspired by organic symmetry found in nature, as well as the decorative shaping used in Art Nouveau architecture.

Menage á Trois uses three colours of light fingering weight yarn, we have knit up our sample in Canopy Fingering by The Fibre Co. We used seven skeins of knitting yarn; three each of Macaw and Manatee, and one of Parakeet.

Canopy Fingering is a soft blend of bamboo, baby alpaca and merino wool making it the ideal yarn for this pattern as it blocks beautifully and has an exquisite drape.

Worked from a provisional cast on Menage á Trois is made up of panels of lace which are interspersed with garter stitch and stocking stitch stripes. The shawl is when edged with a wide garter stitch border and finished off with an i-cord edge. Menage á Trois is an overall enjoyable and interesting knitting pattern.

Different textures and colour-placements create here the dynamic details that still provide a surprising harmony in this generously sized wrap. Menage á Trois is very wearable and will make a great addition to your wardrobe!

The pattern is available to order now as a PDF download from our shop, as is the yarn should be tempted to cast on in Canopy Fingering.
