Lucky Tweed at Tangled Yarn

I'm so excited about the arrival of Lucky Tweed from Kelbourne Woolens. Lucky Tweed is a soft and cosy woollen spun, authentic tweed, made in Donegal, Ireland. It works up to an Aran gauge making it ideal for autumn and winter knitting projects.

 

Working closely with the mill in Donegal, Courtney and Kate have developed a range of colours that include cool neutrals to vibrant, saturated jewel-like colours. And it wouldn't be a Kelbourne Woolens palette without their custom golden yellow, which makes me feel so happy!

 

 

Alongside Lucky Tweed, Kelbourne Woolens has launched a collection of nine knitting patterns to support their yarn. The collection reflects the origin of the yarn. It pays homage to Irish knitting with cables and colourwork being ever-present in sweaters, hats and a cowl while still being modern and quintessentially American in look and fit.
